INTRODUCTION TO ENTERPRISE BIG DATA FRAMEWORK
The Enterprise Big Data Framework is a set of guidelines and best practices for managing and leveraging big data within an organization. It provides a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges and opportunities of big data. The framework includes guidelines for data governance, data management, data integration, data security, data privacy, and data analytics.
The core objective of the Big Data Framework is to provide a structure for enterprise organizations that aim to benefit from the potential of Big Data. It consists of six core capabilities – ranging from the technical components of setting up a Big Data architecture towards the soft skills required to set up a Big Data center of excellence – that enterprises need to consider to obtain long-lasting value from Big Data.
The Enterprise Big Data Certification Scheme
The Enterprise Big Data certification scheme is a vendor-neutral program dedicated to best practices in enterprise analytics, machine learning and big data.
The program consists of five certifications with business and technical specialization, and discusses fundamental knowledge, concepts and techniques of big data environments
The certification scheme is role-based and progressive, starting at the Foundational-level with the Enterprise Big Data Professional (EBDP) certification, then progressing to the Practitioner-level with the Enterprise Big Data Analyst (EBDA) and Enterprise Big Data Engineer (EBDE) certifications, and finally ending on the Specialist-level with the Enterprise Big Data Scientist (EBDS) and Enterprise Big Data Architect (EBDAR) certifications.

The EBDP certification provides delegates with a strong foundation of the fundamental concepts and theories of Big Data. The curriculum of this course focuses on the six core modules of the Big Data Framework and discusses fundamental theories in statistics and machine learning. This certification is a pre-requisite for all the other courses.
The EBDA certification is aimed at Data Analyst and provides in-depth theory and practical guidance to deduce value out of Big Data sets. The curriculum segments between different kinds of Big Data problems and its corresponding solutions. This course will teach participants how to autonomously find valuable insights in large data sets in order to realize business benefits.
The EBDS certification is aimed at Data Scientists and offers advanced guidance on the design and development of core algorithms that are used in Big Data and machine learning. The course discusses different types of algorithms and how data scientists can apply them to solve enterprise problems.
The EBDE certification is aimed at everyone that is involved with designing and maintaining the underlying IT infrastructure of Big Data environments. This course takes an in-depth look at the required infrastructure and applications that are necessary to operate an effective Big Data operation. The EBDAR certification is aimed at everyone who needs to design or architect Big Data solutions and systems, andis required to have an in-depth understanding of structuring a Big Data environment. The EBDAR certification will cover the framework that appropriately replicates the Big Data requirements of a company.
